It is extremely difficult to examine objectively a movie if she was somehow involved in its creation. In this case it is doubly difficult, because my goal is to review “Sanctuary”, the film intimately linked to the greatest filmmakers – James Cameron. However, I am not the only one to shirk a challenge, so I’ll give it a shot. Although it may take more burdensome than simply proclaim as “good” as it was off.

After seeing the preview of  ”Sanctum” the movie My family and friends, called a thousand questions for me, including the last question “So … how is it?” My first reaction was a bit lame proclaimed as “good” … and the last time I added “it is very comprehensive. All this, while true, hardly gives the film justice. Let me expand a little, now that I’ve had time to digest what I saw.

If you were in “Sanctum” from another planet is a film about cave divers, you need to explore cave systems in the depths of the earth and what happens when everything goes wrong. It is not difficult to imagine why anyone would want to make a film about cave diving. In a system of caves of the line between life and death is a fine, which naturally makes for an exciting adventure or in this case a thriller.

“Sanctum” is flying at a phenomenal rate and is a non-stop action throughout the trip. Just enough time to relax and enjoy a respite from all the action and drama. The film offers the kind of energy plans and adrenaline to adjust the time to tell a story about one of the most exciting disciplines and most extreme in the world – exploring caves. However, to his credit the real essence of the rings true story of a series of levels and the royal apartments and down to earth. The film is interesting because it is a story about people, how they relate to another tent and stress conditions and psychology of being trapped underground and facing a seemingly hopeless situation.

The story of “Sanctum” was written by John Garvin and Andrew Wight and is inspired by real events. The writers are cave divers and experienced firsthand both the ecstasy of caving and the very real dangers that exist in such activity. Obviously, there would be no movie if everything in the issue went smoothly and according to plan, the focus is on everything that could go wrong. It should be noted that the risks incurred by the film’s characters were removed from the air, the dangers are real. However, while the characters are tested test of the cave itself is not described as a malicious site and evil, it should not be. The harsh realities of this unforgiving world is contrasted with the breathtaking beauty that can not be underwater caves. The opportunity to see such exquisite beauty is one of the reasons for choosing to go there.

“Sanctum” gives an insight into the psyche of the browser and what drives them to keep fighting and harsh environments. It is about sharing the joy of exploration and the thrill of finding new cave passage. The idea that can turn the corner and into an unknown world and to see a place that nobody has seen before … I think that appeals to the explorer in everyone. The extraordinary thing is that this type of exploration is possible today!

My favorite part is watching the movie because it really together on the big screen. I love what Alister Grierson, director, did with the story – I really enjoyed watching his vision. Capture the world of caving brilliant personalities involved, the possible conflict, pleasure, pain, suffering, beauty and last but not least the sense of hope. Of course, I would have done differently, but I’m not a hot shot director. Seeing my world through his eyes was an interesting experience.

Actors (Richard Roxburgh, Ioan Gruffudd, Alice Parkinson, Rhys Wakefield, Dan and Allison Cratchley Whyllie) did a remarkable job not only because it captured the spirit of the characters so well, but also because it makes diving. There are no tricks in this film, actors were under water and dive! When you see the character of Frank McGuire squeeze through tight restrictions Sentinel rebreather pushing ahead, so it’s really Richard Roxburgh, do all the work. It was incredible what the actors were able to do in a short period of time. It went from zero recyclers with experience in diving, taking the stage and skateboarding, which is quite surprising. It is a testament to John Garvin and excellent teaching skills and the courage and bravery of the actors. This level of participation and involvement of actors is evident when watching the film and adds little to the experience. It also meant that doubles as a diver can sit and look pretty before they did all the work, bonus!

Check out the trailer for the Shrine of the film and sure to go see this movie! It’s a good ride and a full-on adventure. And yes it is “good.”
