Fighter is on the rise of the Massachusetts born boxer Mickey Ward (Mark Wahlberg) and his struggle to become a champion in the ring, while handling his crack use training member / brother Dicky Eklund (Christian Bale) and intrusion, “stage mother” management, mother Alice P. (Melissa Leo).

Fighter is based on the true story of the rise of boxer Micky Ward. Once I finished The Fighter, I find myself wish to discuss. I was surprised because I enjoyed the movie, although I think the sport of boxing disturbing to watch. It was something about the power and precision hits the thought of the pain that hits listeners. (Fortunately, there are not many scenes of horror in this film.) Christian Bale, who won the Oscar for Best Actor for this role, have a great job as Dicky Eklund! He was a close, lean squirrely, drug addicts, who still is a lovely man, happy to help his brother’s success. Mark Wahlberg is not frustrated or he’s just fit the role perfectly. I do not think Melissa Leo an Oscar for best actress, but … They have it. Her performance does not really surprise me. All in all I found The Fighter for an interesting movie, even if it’s not something I usually choose to watch. I would definitely recommend it to anyone or any interest in the sport itself, because it gives an interesting glimpse into the reality of human life a climb to the top of world boxing . Plus, if you stay in tune in the credits, you get the real Micky Ward and Dicky Eklund as a nice bonus.
