CONCLUSION: entertaining and fun, with good performances led by a good deal that Chris Hemsworth “Thor” a solid comic book movie, but lacks the magic touch and character that have made a great movie.
The good: the comic book movies are a dime a dozen these days. Thor manages to rise above most of them thanks to its nimble performance, entertaining action sequences, stunning visuals and solid performance increased by a strong cast. Thor (Hemsworth), the god of thunder, is banished to Earth by his father Odin King (Hopkins) for his recklessness and vanity, which could lead to the destruction of their domain. While on earth, he meets Jane (Portman), through events and encouraged by his brother Loki (Hiddleston), Thor learns to be humble and accept his fate prohibited. However, in dealing with Thor’s companions told the truth about what Loki has done, he returns to his kingdom to his brother to stop causing unprecedented destruction.
This story has a series of strong biblical ties, but the film always manages to keep things entertaining and fun. Chris Hemsworth owns the screen as Thor, a rare and impressive considering they are face to face with Anthony Hopkins, who puts in an impressive performance as King Odin. The images in this movie are spectacular. The visual realization of the scope of Thor in the cosmos is impressive. The action scenes are well produced, especially when using the hammer of Thor to get rid of many enemies. The story is mainly about competition, and in this case, the dynamic between Thor and his brother Loki makes this film thoroughly. Thor is, without doubt, very funny, and given the focus on visual effects and action, along with the amazing cast, the film worth seeing on the big screen.
The bad: Though the film is well done and said, do not hit certain extras that have been made in particular. In many ways, the movie just keeps building up in the vision after action visual scene after scene of action to take for the sub-population of 25-year-old man who apparently suffers from ADHD. If the filmmakers had balanced the tone and pace of the story, this film could have come as something more special and unique, a point even clearer when we consider the amount of the main ingredients in this movie are great, of actors, action and visual effects.
