Director Joe Wright has developed a very promising to Pride and Prejudice, The Soloist, and of course the Oscar-nominated and winning film, Atonement. But this time, Wright and actress Saoirse Ronan is in the title role in the new spring colored version of 2011, Hanna.
The plot of the film, in which its elements Bourne trilogy and let them use familiar enough that anyone can follow, is very simple. A young woman, Hanna and his father, former CIA agent, Erik (played by Eric Bana), fleeing relentless U.S. government. I guess that justifies the brutal conditions under which a man raises his daughter, brutal enough to make a habit of attacking her regularly in the insistence that it must learn to think on their feet.
But the father is training his reward when Hanna is finally captured by the CIA to be detained and questioned by none other than the wife of his father’s hunting, Marissa Wiegler (Cate Blanchett), who herself has been trained to kill. Hanna make their way free with all the skill and guile of a super soldier and escapes into the arid deserts of Morocco, on his way to meet a friend of his father waiting in Berlin. While the race befriends a girl named Sofia and the rest of his family, in which Hanna found that although it may be very smart with various fighting techniques and weapons, which way to go to learn which is normal girl leading a normal life.
However, in his kindness to the family with Hanna in Berlin, without knowing they were tailed closely by the mercenaries hired by Marissa Hanna to capture in his attempt to kill Erik, Germany. The family is captured while escaping Hanna, if a guy is forced to reveal where he goes, and leads to a confrontation that develops rapidly and ends with a partner Erik being killed, while she runs away and meets apartment Erik killed his grandmother. It is then and there he discovers that Erik is not your father, but the officer who recruited his mother in a secret CIA operation that changes the genetic composition of children build to create a race of super soldiers had no empathy and not disobey orders. He also learns that his mother was killed, while Erik tried to help them out, because the project was considered a failure, which required the removal of all mothers and children involved in the maintenance of the farm classified.
But reconciliation is not really a choice when Marissa and mercenaries are hired to finish the job. Erik managed to divert attention from Marissa, but only at the expense of his own life before going after Hanna. Hanna is pursued in an abandoned amusement park, where she is forced into a showdown against women has effectively ruined his life, and kill the only person who saw the family. Improvised with superhuman cunning battle tactics, Hannah is finally able to turn things around and avenge his family lost.
Although the plot emerges painfully short on originality – the murderer seeking revenge, the government is to have created the murderer, the killer brutal shown what love is – nothing is unforgivable. Saoirse Ronan Hanna that the performance is quite credible, much less remarkable to see how it is transmitted muted just enough human emotion in a character that was written mainly to succeed without them. For someone who has learned a multitude of languages and techniques of control before learning what electricity was, Hanna fear and confusion of the world outside their control can not stop drawing sympathetic strings . Eric Bana and Cate Blanchett are the dynamics in the film are well established through solids as well, although members of the public may feel a little disappointed with the depth of character fields in black and white are written with so much subtle as a slap in the face. And that if they do not participate in the choreographed action that was given to a jumble of random gunfire, lights, and above all angles, like a mural of an epileptic’s worst nightmare.
But this does not mean that the movie is not good beyond these shortcomings. The story is well paced with crisp action sequences that give the public a satisfactory shock Hanna reveals the mystery of their origin, and Erik is quick to save the girl he has ever had. The production design and special effects are well executed, and this time around The Chemical Brothers to offer a compelling soundtrack, which remains my personal favorite part of the film. The music is fascinating, rhythmic, and takes you to the gunman and fist throwing Hanna world within seconds of listening. It has been a while since I saw the movie, but I’m always attracted by the hunting of various songs that are sure looped.
In general, this film was well underway and while the final result could have been done with better writing and editing ringtones, Joe Wright brings a range of stimulus measures and mystery that the imagination can hold , if only for a few hours. Hanna is one of the best films of 2011 to date, and is a promising blend of action thriller and fun to play while watching a fight youth find a place between two different worlds.
