Sir Ranulph Fiennes has been a member of the British Army for eight years. During this time he served in the Royal Scots Greys and the Special Air Service (SAS) as well. In 1991 he wrote a novel about the people he claims saved his life “The men of the pen.” The “Killer Elite” of the film is loosely based on the controversial novel, there is a feeling that some people full of fiction based.
“Killer Elite” is a film that is supposed to be based on real events. It stars Jason Statham as Danny Bryce. Bryce is a former Special Ops officer, the back is forced to act after his mentor (Robert De Niro) is captured by a Hunter Arab sheikh. So Hunter will be released, Bryce to kill three men, killing three of the son of Sheikh have been charged. Bryce has a team to assist in this mission and will soon be followed by Spike Logan (Clive Owen) and a secret group that he associated.
I do not know how this story actually true, but I liked this film. It is a difficult film with a series of measures that can be observed just fun. Although he acknowledged through his action and violence, the film was even a funny story that is filled with interesting characters and international espionage. For all the action in the film, I probably liked the gunfights and car chases at the most. The hand to hand fight scenes were okay, but it seemed a little unrealistic at times, and it took a little longer than expected. I must say that one of my favorite fight scenes where old Robert De Niro will appear with the ass martial arts. I do not think I’ve seen him do that before, but it was cool. All the action was intense and it keeps your attention throughout the film.
I also liked how the characters were interesting and varied. They have helped to add life and personality that the film, even if they were lacking in normal human emotions necessary. Most of the characters in this film is not really as good or bad in themselves are considered. By force or by choice, it is the men in “Killer Elite” just doing their job, mostly. How do they do this question can be asked, but there’s never really any deliberate attempt to provide a definitive view on the good or the evil creation.
Some of the things in the film is clearly a fiction, but I can not say if it is closer to fact or fantasy. Anyway, I would say that it is a film that was much faster, but it was easy to hold with. If you want action, this may be a movie you want, could give a look.
