Kristofer Henry / Principal: Graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, Kris has been trained as a product designer, getting his start in the shoe industry and previously has been trained as a goldsmith/silversmith from the Penn State University. He brings a mutlitude of abilities both conceptually and intellectually concentrating his efforts on product design and graphic design. His process is a very hands on approach, providing innovative solutions for each client. He has recently started a side project, 44, concentrating on hardtail mountain bikes and is most likely TIG welding when he is not drawing concepts for clients.

Lynn Robinson / Principal: Graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design’s department of Film Animation/Video, Lynn has worked in a variety of industry as well as teaching film/animation as adjunct faculty for a variety of New England based colleges. She brings a vast knowledge of design and expertise to the table focusing her efforts on visual effects and motion graphics. An invaluable member at BLACKCAP llc., she is also an avid rock climber, snowboarder and green thumb to boot.

KNOWLEDGE: BLACKCAP starts each project by thoroughly doing our homework. If we are going to help you achieve your vision, we need to inform ourselves of our client’s brand identity, their market and especially their consumer base. This informs us of current trend and through our process of discovery, we are informed of key market opportunities that the competition may not be tapping. This becomes our launch pad for design.

IDEATION:The Knowledge we gain through our initial observations is funneled straight into the concept. As we design we are always refining those concepts, reflecting on what we have learned and taking close consideration to our clients wants and needs. The end result is a unique solution that is custom tailored for the client which is both in harmony and balance with their consumer base.

DELIVER: All of the time and research that were funneled into the design now become reality. BLACKCAP takes all of those tangibles and stitches them into the finalized realization. Through our progressive design process, we oversee and facilitate the creation of our clients vision from start to finish.
