In recent years, mixed martial arts grow in popularity to be seen. Not surprisingly, we saw some movies about the sport in an attempt to use its new mainstream appeal. Is this “warrior” is the latest attempt in this growing assortment of movies and the time to see if it makes the mixed martial arts version of “Rocky”, which they are intended.
Tommy Conlon (Tom Hardy) is a former marine, a hard life. “Warrior” was not a good movie, it was a great movie. This is a must for anyone who loves movies. Although cheese at times, it is full of heart and has more substance. This movie tugs at your emotions, as it focuses on issues that the family can be torn. If one’s emotions in a movie, I can usually see the characters, to explain my point of view. In this film, the film was emotional at the base. As the film progresses, you see the whole story unfold and see how things are the way they got the people in the film. They hit almost everything you could speak to the tragedies and suffering that happened in a family.
The fights are great and much better than the actual MMA fights.They kind of reminds me of some of the matches I watched Pride FC, again in the first half of this century. With the fighting and the history combined with the right casting, it is clear to see that all could do in this film. In addition to being a little cheesy at times, some parts are expected towards the end, the focus Edgerton drag sometimes, there is not much to complain. There are still complaining, but I will not discuss because it is part of the film for those who want to see him destroy you.
Tom Hardy did a good job of playing the little brother with a lot of trouble and problems Edgerton holds its own as the father of the middle class trying two things afloat. Nolte plays the third, but perhaps the most important figure because it is the chemistry between his character and the other two, that holds it all together. It is more than credible as a father tried to repent while back with two son does not seem ready to be angry and bitter toward him. I should also mention that I got a kick out of seeing Kurt Angle MMA version of Ivan Drago portray, because I’m a big wrestling fan years ago.
Despite the negative feelings of the three main characters are from each other and the film on a destroyed family structures and issues that arise from this story is indeed a legitimate feeling good. He was somehow able to be hard, cold and warm the heart at the same time. ”Warrior” is probably the best film I’ve seen so far this year. I do not think you get too many people who do not like this film if you are trying to find. The end of the summer movie looked like it was with a groan, but “Warrior” meant that not happen.
